HOW WE HANDLE YOUR CASE

A claim supported
by the documents.

Asking for a sum is not enough. It needs to be justified, objections anticipated and the right procedure chosen.

01

We explain whether there is a basis to claim

We explain what supports the claim and where the difficulties lie.

02

We review every offer before you accept

We assess what an agreement resolves for you. If it is insufficient, we consider court proceedings.

03

You approve the quotation and the steps

You know which work you are engaging and which expenses to expect before authorising action.

First contact

You can explain the general issue. Before reviewing documents or acting on their behalf, we check which authorisation or representation you need. Do not include their personal details in your first message.

We can assess a request for a second opinion. Explain which steps have been taken and whether a deadline is running. Before taking over, we review the documents and the existing engagement.

Keep the complete document and note when it arrived. Mention it when contacting us so we can check the deadline and required action. Do not wait until you have collected every other document.

Yes, but we need the dates of the events and any claims already made. Time limits differ by matter; they need to be reviewed to establish whether a claim can still be brought.

An enquiry does not mean we contact the other party. Sending a claim or taking any other action is agreed with you after the engagement has been defined.

Fees

The agreed terms apply to the work done and the stage at which agreement is reached. The quotation should distinguish negotiation from possible court representation so you understand both sets of terms.

We review the work already done and the engagement terms. Before you decide, we explain any steps or deadlines in progress that need attention.

We explain why it is necessary and its cost. If it changes the engaged work, the additional scope is agreed with you before it is carried out.

Not always. A costs order and the amount recoverable depend on the procedure and decision. You should not rely on reimbursement when deciding whether to claim.

Fees and the sum claimed are separate. Payment terms are defined in the engagement; any amount linked to the outcome must be expressly agreed.

Unpaid debts

Other material may support it: transfers, accepted quotations, emails or messages. We review whether it establishes the origin of the debt, its amount and the payment terms.

The sum received must be deducted and the outstanding amount justified. Keep payment records and messages explaining which invoice or item each payment relates to.

It depends on the proposal and the realistic prospects of payment. If you accept, the acknowledged debt, payment dates and consequences of another default should be documented.

We review what was agreed, what was delivered and when the complaint arose. Quotations, delivery records and correspondence help assess the objection before claiming.

A favourable decision does not guarantee payment. We assess the available solvency information and costs so you can decide whether the claim makes financial sense.

Medical negligence

Not necessarily. A complication must be distinguished from inadequate care, and its link to the harm examined. An independent medical assessment may be needed to clarify this.

You can request access to and copies of your records from the provider, subject to legal limits. Keep the request; we explain which reports and documents need review.

We need to review the information you received, what you authorised and how care was provided. A signature alone does not establish whether the medical treatment was appropriate.

Yes. You can request an initial assessment and gather records while treatment continues. Recovery affects the assessment of harm, but time limits also need to be checked.

Yes. Public or private care may change the party to claim against, the procedure and time limits. We need to know the provider, dates and type of care.

Accidents and insurance

Yes. We review what the payment covered and anything you signed. These details help establish whether the matter was settled or whether issues remain.

We review the available material, including the accident statement, photographs, witnesses and correspondence. The absence of one document does not by itself determine whether a claim can succeed.

Legal expenses cover includes a right to choose under the applicable law. We review the policy and circumstances to establish the scope and expense limits.

Keep the claim, proof of delivery and dates. We check what was requested, whether documents are missing and the next steps for that insurance and claim.

Both must be assessed and documented separately. Medical reports, invoices and quotations help identify the damage and who a claim may be brought against.

Evictions

The procedure, court, service of documents and occupation circumstances all affect timing. After reviewing the matter, we explain these factors; a departure date cannot responsibly be promised.

The handover, recovery of possession, property condition and remaining debts should be documented. Seek advice before signing a waiver or an agreement you do not understand.

We check which amounts were paid, when and what they cover. Keep payment records and do not assume the entire debt is settled without checking the balance and correspondence.

The contract and guarantees determine who each claim can be directed against. Signatures, commitments and later amendments need review.

Do not use these steps to force occupants out: they may expose you to liability. The applicable legal procedure must be assessed and followed to recover possession.

Building defects

Not necessarily. Breach of a building contract, seller liability and construction defects are different routes. Applicable law and dates determine the right approach.

It may be essential to establish cause, age and repair costs. Its need and fee are agreed separately from the lawyer’s work.

Address danger and prevent damage worsening. Where possible, record the original condition, retain invoices and arrange a technical assessment before repairs.

No. The specific hidden-defect actions under the common Spanish Civil Code have six months from delivery. Sales governed by Catalan law and construction claims follow different rules. Seek prompt review of your dates.

Contracts and agreements

Yes. You can engage a review without starting a claim or court proceedings. We explain terms to clarify and proposed changes before you decide.

Leases, property deposit and purchase agreements, private loans, debt acknowledgements, payment schedules and civil settlements in Spain. We first check that the document fits the service.

The starting reference covers review and comments on one document. Third-party negotiation, meetings, additional versions and attendance at signing must be expressly included in the quotation.

No. The lawyer’s quotation defines the legal work. Notary, registry, tax and external professional charges are identified separately where needed.

Yes. We can assess the terms and options for amendment, termination or breach. Signing may limit some options; the terms and dates need review.

A delivery date is agreed after assessing the document and complexity. Replying to your initial enquiry by the next day does not mean the contract will be delivered then. Call if signing is imminent.
